AC/DC Convention, Wrexham, August 6-8, 2004.

The band that have never been out of fashion receive a proper tribute this August in the shape of ‘The Big Ball’. Three days of high voltage, riff raff and grown men dressed up as guitar-toting schoolboys come courtesy of 10 unique AC/DC tribute bands, highlights must include the all-female American act ‘AC/Dshe’, Stereophonics approved ‘AB/CD’ and the awesome bluegrass/folk ‘Hayseed Dixie’. Headlining the event is original AC/DC vocalist Dave Evans (no, he’s not the one who died after swallowing his own vomit – that’s the legendary Bon Scott, he came afterwards), who’ll be back in his homeland performing some of the tunes he recorded with the band way back in the early 1970’s.

The Big Ball kicks off August 6th, 7th & 8th at the William Aston Hall, NEWI – Wrexham…don’t forget your satchel!
