Blame it on Reuben

Reuben kick off 2005 with their brand new single 'Blamethrower', available on download only from April 18th on Xtra Mile Recordings. An angry, unrepentant anthem, 'Blamethrower' drives home their frustrations and anxieties over a grinding relentless bass line and guitar riff whilst still remaining catchy as hell in that distinctive Reuben way.

This single is the first release from their forthcoming second album 'Very Fast, Very Dangerous' (produced by Chris Sheldon – Foo Fighters, Feeder) due out in August, and follows on from a victorious 2004 that saw the band release their debut album 'Racecar Is Racecar Backwards' (10,000 sales to date), headline a Kerrang! show at London's Mean Fiddler venue, and be nominated for Best British Newcomer at the Kerrang! Awards. And that's not to mention Zane Lowe making both the single 'Freddy Kreuger' and the album 'Racecar…' Single/Album Of The Week on his Radio 1 show and the album entering the Independent Chart at Number 6.

2005 will propel the band even further towards the mainstream with further releases off 'Very Fast…', including the forthcoming 'proper' singles 'A Kick In The Mouth' due out in June, and 'Keep It To Yourself' two weeks prior to the album in August.

In support of the release of 'Blamethrower' Reuben will be heading out on tour in April throughout the UK including a special gig at Xtra Mile Recordings' 1 year anniversary party on April 7th. Support comes from Dive Dive.
