Hot Chip and Four Tet to play !k7 Birthday Party!

Birthday time is fast approaching once again for !K7 and to celebrate on November 24th this slick German party train slides into King's Cross and takes over London's infamous Key Club and its adjoining two rooms by storm.!K7 is proud to enlist a host of key players from its diverse and international roster, whose charge it is to keep the battalions of bass burning through the night. The UK is strongly represented by Hot Chip, Four Tet and Trevor Jackson, all previous compilers of the seminal DJ-Kicks series, alongside Swayzak and Kid Kanevil from Stateless who both released albums this year to critical acclaim. Germany's Michael Fakesch bring the continental edge to proceedings, while longtime friends and !K7 supporters Phonica – London's leading specialist record store – host the third room.

Whereas last year's celebrations were sophisticated, this year it's going to get kind of dirty, aimed solely at blowing away some of the 22-year-old !K7 cobwebs and showing people just what those pesky Berliners get up to in those long lost weekends.

The last 12 months have seen a lot of change, and with the success of
Berlin's dance-scene hitting dizzying new heights and a fresh crop of
signings from around the world, we reckon it's about time to show off !K7's class of 2007.

Do believe the hype.
