Joe Lean & The Jing Jang Jong – Where Do You GO

Is it me or are we struggling for band names nowadays?

Where the hell did Joe Lean and the Jing,Jang Jong come from. However the name is certainly memorable. In fact it’s probably the most notable thing about their new single ‘Where do you go?’

Nicking the riff from The Cribs ‘Girls like mystery’ and mixing it with Franz ‘take me out’ whilst describing a story of losing a love one, it’s got a post-libertines feel to it and could be any of a number of current bands around. I really struggled to find anything that really grabbed me about this single, it lacks bite and venom and lyrically has nothing. If these boys are around in 6 months I’ll be amazed unless their album has a massive diverse slant then it’s back to the day jobs lads!!
