You probably already know whether you will enjoy Alphabeat’s new single. If you like the cheesy indentikit pop of their previous effort then ‘Boyfriend’ will be right up your street. If cheesy pop isn’t your thing, then keep well away.

While there are worse things than passable music-by-numbers, there are also better alternatives, and you don’t have to look very hard to find them.
