Thomas Tantrum – Work It

‘Work It’ is the current single from UK four-piece ‘Thomas Tantrum’.

In listening to this single I immediately think of this as just being another indie pop band. There’s a hint of Lily Allen and Kate Nash in the vocal style of Megan Thomas, but without the thought in the lyrics. It’s repetitive, and annoying enough that I end up listening to it again. I don’t want to, but it’s crawled into my headspace. Dammit.

The debut album is out on 1st September. If you like the efforts of bands like The Ting Tings then you’ll probably like this one too. It’s radio music to me though, and time will tell what the future holds. They’re on a UK tour at the moment so go check them out if you like the single and album.
