Going for a dated rock edge and attitude… Lauren Harris is walking the edge between 80’s metal diva and (more sadly) Americana rock diva. The type who would sing the theme tune to some teeny TV Show. (The chorus is evidence of that).
So it’s all a bit soulless, and there isn’t any other music on offer to see if she stretches beyond this image.
