Idlewild – Post Electric Blues

The Idlewild album is an affable effort that demonstrates that some music styles still have plenty to say.

This is strictly Americana middle territory pop rock, but they band have a way on filling their songs with enough to make then seem more full than perhaps they are, but also more memorable than perhaps they have any right to be.

They won’t reach the heights of the likes of R.E.M, but maybe because the time for that type of music was over 15 years ago. But as there is still a flavour in the music Idlewild shouldn’t have any problems having a fan base, and when they compose their songs with enough depth and variety then it can only help.
