The Little Million - Satellite
Album Review

The Little Million – Satellite

The debut album ‘Satellite’, is brought to you by the 4 man Sheffield band, The Little Million. It bursts onto the scene with their catchy riffs and interesting personalities displaying pop/rock at its finest/

Having supported the likes of Feeder and The Parlotones earlier this year, it is no surprise that The Little Million are getting a name for themselves and have their feet firmly planted in the list of 2010’s up and coming new and exciting bands.

You can now purchase their brand new single ‘Bring out the Blues’ which is included on theri album. ‘Satellite’ combines all different types of musical techniques and instruments to avoid being cast onto the growing pile of typical rock bands. Classical instruments such as violins and acoustic guitars appear lightly in the background on various tracks juxtaposing to the thrashy electric guitar, loud drumming and synthesized beats-and it works.‘Wait in line’ shows this perfectly and stands out. On track 4 off the album, my favourite of the bunch, Jim Pinder,The Little Million’s frontman shows off his vocal range with higher parts in the chorus, and with a softer edge compared to the rest of the songs on the album.

All in all I definitely think that ‘Satellite’ is highly appealing to the young pop/rock fans of today and The Little Million are definatley a band to keep your eyes on!
