Marvel Avenger’s is out in theatres this month – combining the likes of Iron Man; Captain America; Thor; The Hulk; Hawkeye and Black Widow. This is just the beginning folks!

Building

This is more like it. For those of use geeks and fans who wanted the “Real” LEGO sets for marvel get this first batch of Avengers sets. This one in particular features two of the Avengers: Iron man and Hawkeye (Iron man – easily the coolest LEGO figure so far; with his helmet featuring the lift up visor). You also get villain Loki who has a very cool headpiece and a decent staff; yet a very basic looking cosmic cube to place on his hand.

You also get as the main event – a Shield truck where you will spend most of your building time. The design and colour is very cool. It looks like it means business: The dark blue lending to its “law enforcement” look.

The build itself is, as ever, easy to follow and shouldn’t take too long. Mind that this is bigger than what you might get from a Cars 2 set. You can actually put a character inside the cab, or on the back. You also get a few stickers on the outside to make it look all the more official.

Finished Product

The vehicle does come with a couple of features aside from just being able to place characters in and around the vehicle. There is the ever popular flick missiles on either side, and a launch pad on the back where you can throw your hero/ or villain from the back of the truck should they do battle.

It looks cool, it is branded all the way and is a great perhaps first item worth buying from the series. At £20 you get a fair enough value for parts, and a great vehicle.
