Legendary punk ska pop act No Doubt are feeling a bit bashful after latest single ‘Looking Hot’ sold just 680 copies in its first week of release.
The track reached No 397 on the chart, and fell almost 1,500 sales short of hitting the Top 200. To date, ‘Looking Hot’ has sold just 1,400 units.
A performance on The X Factor, usually credited with lifting an artist’s sales by around 300 percent, did little to help. The band have recently pulled a controversial video which saw Gwen Stefani dressed as a Native American squaw and was deemed racist by some viewers. The band apologised for any offence caused and withdrew the clip.
This doubtless comes as a shock to Gwen Stefani who gave up her glittering, mega-selling solo career to reunite her band.
