Single review – InHibit: Settings

Brussels-based 21-year-old Anglo-Belgian singer and composer Noah Roovers may call himself InHibit, but there’s nothing inhibited about his full on sound.

This is metal but metal with an edge off funkiness that will appeal to fans of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Rage Against The Machine, with the squealing guitar fireworks also nodding to the latter band’s Tom Morello.

Roovers certainly knows how to kick out the jams vocally, too, as he unleashes a performance and half, all utilising the power of a full force gale.  The lyrics are beyond the norm too, talking about throwing off the chains of society – both external and internal.  Fine, poetic sentiments and all in all, intriguing stuff from a name that you’ll want to keep an eye on.
