Bandit release Blackpool-inspired love song, Ice Cream

Gathering support from BBC Radio 1 (Jack Saunders), DIYFred Perry Subculture, Radio X, and more on their last single, Bandit return with a brand new release in the shape of Ice Cream – out on Wednesday 5th May.

Taking central placements on playlists with Amazon MusicDeezer, and Tidal, with Peppermints Don’t Hide Everything, the quartet continue to turn heads with the latest indie-rock cut, firing pop choruses on top of raucous melodies.

Armed with the producing efforts of Alex Quinn (Michael Aldag, SPINN, Abbie Ozard) once again, Bandit formulated a resounding summer anthem, smothered in instantly memorable lyrics and a chorus ready to give that serotonin hit – not excluding the nod to Blackpool throughout.

On the single, Nat Waters said “It’s a tune written about young love. Getting caught in the rain and instead of running for shelter, embracing it. Things aren’t perfect because everything’s not always Disney. Falling in love with a girl as we sat laughing on plastic garden chairs is way more rock n roll than that anyway. Youthful nostalgia and summer air in this tune are what makes it quite bittersweet. Make the most of what you got in this moment because you’re never gonna get those seconds back. This is what’s real. Plus we all have a soft spot for Blackpool.”

Continuing to throw attention to their influences of Cage The ElephantThe Strokes, and Fontaines D.C, the Liverpool quartet have embraced the elements of each artist, moulding all of them into a single already promising another step up.

Bandit have also announced a run of shows at the end of 2021, taking on four headline dates for their first performances outside of Liverpool.

11 – Lending Room, Leeds

December

3 – The Grace, London
