We start our summer project for the year right here. The next four months will come loaded with commentary tracks on many of our favoruite action heroes who fuelled the genre back on cinema screens in the 70s, 80s and beyond.

To keep this simple we have selected half a dozen or so action stars who, largely, worked in the Hollywood system. So we won’t be travelling to East Asia on this one. But we will likely pay lip service to many stars from around the world. The main focus will be on the usual culprits. We want to discuss what impact they had back in the day, what has stood the test of time and where they all stand now in the latter part of their careers.

We start with Bruce Willis who arguably made the best action movie.
