Doune The Rabbit Hole 3rd headliner revealed plus more additions

Doune The Rabbit Hole, one of Scotland’s best-loved family-friendly music & arts festivals, can now reveal its final mainstage headliner for 2023.  Confirmed along with experimental neo-Space Rock legends Spiritualized, and the former Sonic Youth founder’s epic solo band, The Thurston Moore Group, it’s only a few months before the 3rd headliner will also be making his way to Doune – from The Specials, it’s Neville Staple!

As a former singer for one of the greatest Ska bands of all time and then forming Fun Boy Three with ex-bandmates Terry Hall & Lynval Golding, he eventually went back to his 2-Tone roots with The Neville Staple Band.  Porkpie hats, sharp suits, the call is going out to all Rudeboys, Rudegirls, and Doune goers alike.

Also confirmed:  Pengshui, Jaguar Skills, The Lovely Eggs, Slamboree, Empress, The Countess of Fife (featuring Fay Fife), The Filthy Tongues, Bohemian Monk Machine, Straight Girl, Post Coal Prom Queen, Ant Thomaz, Roll n’ Square (DJ set), Riddemption, Doghouse, Ember Quine, Shelltoe Mel’s Female Funky Fruition, and Strange Dave (David Addison – Shiverin’ Sheiks/Strange Blue Dreams), plus many more.

They’ll be joining the likes of Madchester’s very own Shaun Ryder with Black Grape, former Beta Band frontman Steve Mason, the genre-defying Electronica Punk Dub Bhangra beats of Asian Dub Foundation, Post-Punk legend Gina Birch (The Raincoats), homegrown Scottish Ska machine Bombskare, and Country Techno Punk festival faves Alabama 3.

Sitting among the trees and fields of Cardross Estate at Port of Menteith near Stirling in Central Scotland, and roughly less than an hour from Glasgow and a little bit longer from Edinburgh, Doune aims to bring an amazing array of diverse genre-wide entertainment over 3 days as well as a healthy selection of food and drinks.  A family friendly festival with workshops, games and activities for kids from 10am to 10pm, there’s also added overnight options from camping to glamping and campervan/live-in vehicles, and Doune festival goers can even register their dog to attend too!

‘Not many festivals can reach a landmark, carry on and throw the party of the year at the same time.  All that’s missing is a Disco ball for a moon’.
