Steps Back From The Dead As 90s Revival Continues

Sky Living has commissioned a four-part documentary series from ITV Studios that is to chart the reconciliation of British pop act Steps, it has been announced.

The series – currently in production – is set to be broadcast later this year, and will document what the Steps members are doing individually, and if they have a future together in the run up to the release of their forthcoming Ultimate Collection.

The documentary will shine light on why they decided to disband, their unresolved grievances and we're assured that it'll contain some fiery encounters.

Michael Kelpie, Creative Director of Entertainment at ITV Studios commented: “Steps came, they entertained and then went their separate ways. Their split was acrimonious, messy and played out on the front pages of the national newspapers.  This documentary series reveals the truths behind the polished pop façade that led to the break-up of one of the most successful pop acts in the UK. Intimate, honest and revealing Steps will face their demons as they try to rebuild both personal and working relationships. It will undoubtedly be explosive viewing.”.

Steps originally formed in 1997, and sold over 15 million records over a four and a half year period. The creation of the documentary is to be the first time that all five original members of the band have been together since they split in 2001.
