New Chili Peppers Album Due In August

As we reported last week, it appears that the long wait for a new Red Hot Chili Peppers album is nearing an end.

Speaking to rockitoutblog.com, drummer Chad Smith said: “The new album from the Chili Peppers will be in stores by the end of August. So far there’s no album title yet but they’re currently picking which songs, from the many they recorded, will end up on the new release. As far as shows are concerned, RHCP are playing Rock in Rio this September and the Summersonic festival in Japan which takes place on August 13-14 in Osaka and Tokyo. But there are rumors that they’ll be announcing a South American tour soon as well as a show in the UK in November.”
