LA’s most romantically monikered Kisses appropriately release Midnight Lover on Valentine’s Day February 14th. ‘Midnight Lover’ is the third single to be taken from their acclaimed debut album ‘The Heart of The Nightlife’.
Kisses are the duo, and also couple, Zinzi Edmundson and Jesse Kivel. Their blend of sun-kissed Balearic disco and mournful shoe-gazer pop has seen comparisons to Arthur Russell and New Order and seen the press make similar observations “one of our favourite albums of the year” Dazed And Confused “Kisses magic up the spirit of Arthur Russell at Pacha, writing the kind of paean to the human spirit that would invoke mass hugging on the dance floor” Q “As melancholy in sound as it is utterly bop-able. Gorgeous” The Fly.
Jesse and Zinzi spent the autumn debuting their live show when they made their first UK appearance where they wowed crowds at In The City. They were one of the most talked about bands at CMJ where NME said the bands show evoked “lust, hope, bliss, transcendence, but never loosening that top button”.
‘Midnight Lover’ will be the third single from the debut album and as ever, will come backed with some sterling remixes from the likes of Ultracity, ANR and Clancy.
