Little Comets make an early start in the New Year with the release of their long awaited debut album on January 31st 2011.
A typically intriguing title for an album from a band who don’t do things by halves, ‘In Search of elusive Little Comets’ is stockpiled with authentic lovelorn paeans, awash with majestic pop hooks. Earlier singles, the cynical brilliance of ‘Isles’ or the afro beat tinged ‘Adultery’ both included here give rise to the the wonder of the Coles’ brothers musical artistry with the intermediate tracks ebbing and flowing resulting in what band would hope as a complete album; “that flows from start to finish, rather than just a collection of songs”. A single 'Joanna' precedes the album release on 17th January.
Little Comets are a band keen to consistently challenge both themselves and their listeners. Self produced and mixed by Rich Costey (MGMT / Glasvegas et al) ‘in Search of elusive Little Comets’ is witness to a band who have grown with the songs, played them live and now made that hitherto elusive debut album…
