Some musicians paint from photographs, like Ronnie Wood, and some musicians design clothes like Ronnie, P. Diddy and Eminem.
But to make fabrics out of iconic music photography now that is a first!
Suzy Reed Ltd is the brainchild of Fashion Entrepreneur Suzy Reed and renowned music photographer David Redfern
On September 18h Suzy initiates a brand new enterprise along with her partner David. It sees her company Suzy Reed Ltd launch a brand new collection of textile products and fabrics inspired by David’s iconic images. The launch focuses on Jimi Hendrix to coincide with the 40th anniversary of Hendrix’s death in London at the age of 27.
The collection will feature not only full size images of David’s original portraits but also these pictures and interpreted images with a creative twist transposed onto shirts, dresses, waistcoats, scarves and cushion covers. Details from the photographs have also been developed into fantastic psychedelic designs and digitally printed onto various fabrics.
The full selling exhibition opens at the Suzy Reed Boutique, RedReed House, 7 Bramley Road London W10 6SZ (020 7792 8172) on September 18th 2010.
