Help Patrick Wolf fund his new album

Patrick Wolf is asking fans to invest in his forthcoming double album.

Planned for release in the spring, Wolf is asking fans to invest in the new release by signing up to the Bandstocks website. Then, by paying a £10 fee, supporters will help Wolf cover recording costs and also become stakeholders in its success.

“Basically, you can invest in the finishing of the album and the production, and you get a share in the album,” Wolf explained to NME. “So you almost become part of the record company, like a co-owner.”

As a stakeholder, Wolf has promised special editions, first copies of the album and “private privileges and mixes.”
The double album will be comprised of one disc of “pure nihilistic” tunes, and another that captures the “battles of love”. The latter has come about due to Wolf finding love himself half way through writing the album.

“It's the beginning of the future for artists and musicians in the industry,” Wolf crowed. “There's no way we can rely on conglomerate, corporate companies anymore.”
