Over half of Glastonbury tickets sold

Glasonbury tickets, which went on sale yesterday, are selling quickly. Although the long-running festival is not until June 2009, fans have can already reserve tickets.

If wished, a £50 deposit can also now be put down, with the rest of the £175 ticket being paid for next year.

The new scheme has been hailed a success with 68,500 tickets being snapped up on the first day of release. Tickets will now be available for the next week before the next sale date of April 6th.
