This isn't for the style obsessed, this is for music lovers. Last year Hot Chip affliliates GRECOROMAN gave us three last minute parties in London in that longlost bygone era of relaxed, unlicensed warehouse bliss. Those who managed to find them were treated to some line-up including the Jack Penate, Hot Club De Paris, Tawiah, Hot Chip, Skream, Four Tet, Noze and Ross Allen and a certain young man called David E. Sugar. And now they're at it again, giving slightly more notice, at three venues across London to launch the release of David E. Sugar's new single “OI NEW YORK, THIS IS LONDON!”

The 8-Bit whizzkid David E. Sugar turned up to their dripping August hoedown armed with nothing more than two rewired Nintendo Gameboys and a guitar pedal and quite simply blew the roof off with the resulting Acid freakout. He enjoyed it so much that he hurriedly penned the crew’s battleweapon for their impending New York soundclash, the defiant electro stormer …
“OI NEW YORK, THIS IS LONDON!
OI NEW YORK, GRECOROMAN SOUNDSYSTEM!”
The track’s international call begs international replies, so remixes come in the form of repatriated Englander Jesse Rose’s call-to-arms against his new hometown’s faultering Minimal dictatorship “Oi Berlin, This Is London”, coupled with Skream’s dubstep bassline crusade against the same blinkered ravers. And of course Hot Chip who team up with none other than the legendary Ragga Twins for their 2-step revival “Super Sharp Shooter” parody.
The definition of GRECOROMAN changes every minute but right now it seems to be a fairly loose collective of DJs, musicians, promoters and designers who’s calling it is to party all around the world.
Go and get Hot with them in London. You have three chances!
