Korova Presents Night of Musical Glam and Rock!

Liverpool’s electric Korova venue will play host to a trio of top artists next week for a blistering night of eclectic music.

Screams of sheer delight will ring around the side streets of Liverpool as critically acclaimed Miss King and The Kougars take to the stage. Fresh from their enigmatic performance at Knowsley Hall Music festival, the band are gaining rave reviews alongside an ever growing fan base. Lead singer Miranda King emerges like the venus sister of Rufus, Mika and Patrick Wolf, splicing the glam prowess of Bowie with the tenderness and off beat theatre of Kate Bush, along with a whole lot of infectious hits to boot you into the Sparkly Stratosphere. Industry guru’s are raving about Miss King and The Kougars, Paddy Boom from Scissor Sisters named their song ‘Disco Sunshine’ as one of his top 10 tracks of 2006.

Miss King teamed up with Liverpool’s finest, wildest original rockers The Real People and together they have been putting the finishing touches to what is set to be a mind blowing debut album due for release in the autumn.

The majestic night will also see blistering performances from two other acclaimed bands. The Elevaters are one of Liverpool’s pioneering groups of late and are ready to take the charts by storm. Music critics and industry insiders have already cited the band as being “The hottest thing on eight legs right now”. It only takes one trip to the band’s myspace to discover they have epic songs waiting in the wings with “killer hooks” and “soaring melodies”. Their diverse influences make this distinctive fourpiece unique within the current Liverpool music scene – an uplifting breath of fresh air and it rocks. A must see!

The third act on the bill comes in the form of Crimson Rise. Another of the established Liverpool bands, there live performances are worth seeing, very in your face and truly electrifying. They are a great live band, worth the outing by themselves.

Led Zepp, soaring melodies and sparkling glam rock will be glittering out of the speakers at Liverpool’s music hub – Korova on Thursday 19th July. The night promises to be ‘one of a kind’ with a big industry presence expected, get down early to avoid disappointment.
