Franz Ferdinand are anticipating a “whole new sound” with their thrid album, singer Alex Kapranos told NME. Kapranos also revealed that recording the follow up to 2005's You Could Have it so Much Better is imminent. In the meantime, fans of the Glaswegian indie heroes will have to be satisfied with a new track that the band have recorded for the soundtrack to Hallam Foe, a film based on the novel by Peter Jinks.
The previously unreleased track is called Hallam Foe Dandelion Blow, and will feature on the soundtrack alongside other artists from across the Domino Records roster. The film won't be released in the UK until next month, but you can watch the trailer at Colin Kennedy's blog: getyourpeople.com.
