Sacked Docker Kevin Lavelle was working away from home raising money for his wedding to the mother of his two children, when he was murdered in his digs above a Banbury public house.
Kevin’s son Paddy has been trying to raise awareness in this campaign for justice that saw the three men accused of his father’s murder acquitted on a technicality. The technicality being that it could not be proved which one of the three men dealt the blow which killed Kevin, although one of them certainly did.
Justice for Kevin Lavelle Day has been set up to help fight a battle of justice and is supported by the Sacked Liverpool Dockers and the Casa.
The days events, on Friday 24th November, will include a number of small functions taking place in the Bar/Venue and during the evening there will be a late social night in the venue with a DJ, the group Chapter 2 and raffles etc. plus a short speech about the cause from Brian Reade (Daily Mirror).
