Jazmine Sullivan – Dream Big

Kanye West has got a lot to answer for. Since he sampled “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger”, it seems delving into Daft Punk’s back catalogue for hook’s has become the latest du jour fad for unoriginal producers. Jazmine Sullivan backs her call to arms “Dream Big” with Veridos Quo, taken from the French Duo’s seminal album “Discovery”. The whole thing reeks of laziness, even going so far as to take a song from the same album as Mr. West. But while Kanye perfectly aligned his lyrics with the sample, this song is a hideous train wreck. The result resembles the work of a careless DJ who, on going to the toilet, left the two songs playing together simultaneously. Yuk.
