Indigo Road – Hey It’s Alright/Up For Air

A mingling together of understated, earnest and genuine musos, could earn the orchestrator of it all, Mark Herbert the tag of being a low-key and poetic Mark Ronson.

Providing the swooning vocal gloss for the searchingly uplifting, ‘Hey It’s Alright’ is the enchanting Londoner Belle Erskine. Who blends together soul, coated folk and bristling indie, rubbing against the deftly timed percussion jabs of Katie Stephenson (Bang On).

A bounding horn intro’ heeds the battle cry for the lost souls through the wandering, motown skirting, ‘Up For Air’. Again, Erskine parades her versatile vocals to switch the tempo and mood to keep the track fresh and flowing.

Indigo Road is showing explorative tendencies and those who like their music searching and sincere, will gladly follow Herbert and company wherever they go and whatever they do.
