Relentless, punchy alt-rock outsiders Dead Naked Hippies return with exuberant new single ‘Eyes Wide’ on 20th September. A coming of age, outsider anthem, ‘Eyes Wide’ opens with stark guitar stabs before frontwoman Lucy Jowett takes centre stage with a bold, confident & striking vocal. The track builds into a huge chorus, culminating in the hook “With eyes wide, I am not blind.” It’s a huge statement of intent from the Leeds based band, showing they are ready to take arms.

‘Eyes Wide’ was produced & mixed by Grammy & BRIT Award nominated producer Tom Dalgety (Pixies, Royal Blood, Rammstein), & mastered by Grammy nominated engineer Robin Schmidt (Placebo, The Black Keys, Pale Waves). It is the follow up to visceral single ‘Young Male Rage’ which gained support from BBC 6Music & The Independent.

The Leeds band has had a whirlwind 18 months; with extensive touring across the UK, sharing stages with the likes of Dream Wife, IDLES, Queen Zee & DZ Deathrays as well as taking to stages at Leeds Festival, 2Q Festival, Twisterella Festival, Humber Street Sesh & Stockton Calling. They have received support from Steve Lamacq & Tom Robinson on BBC 6Music, BBC Introducing, KCRW & Amazing Radio, as well as coverage from DIY, Clash, The Independent, Metro & DORK & features on E4 & BT Sport. They were awarded the first ever ‘Do it Differently’ fund by leading UK music charity Help Musicians UK in late 2018 & have previously worked alongside Leeds indie label Dance To The Radio (Forward Russia) & 7' singles club Come Play With Me.

With frenetic & hard hitting live shows, they are earning a growing reputation as one of the most exciting live acts in the UK music scene right now. Characterised by force-of-nature frontwoman Lucy Jowett, Joe Clarke’s huge guitar sound & Jacob Marston’s booming drums, the trio subtly lull you in before taking your head off with their wall of sound.
