The Flaming Lips
The Flaming Lips release a new single, the sound story composition Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots pt.1, on January 13th on Warner Bros.
The single, taken from the universally-acclaimed album of the same name, will be available on 2-CDs and DVD.
CD1 is backed with Do You Realize?? (Floating In Space Remix) plus the Japanese version of ‘Yoshimi’. CD2 features the Lips' extraordinary version of Kylie’s hit Can’t Get You Out Of My Head.
Finally, the DVD includes the video for Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots pt.1 and two previously unreleased tracks, Fish Fry & The Biggot’s Drunk (from The Okie Noodling Soundtrack) and Galactic Melancholy (from the Christmas On Mars Soundtrack).
The band are currently on tour in the US with Beck, where they have been wowing crowds with their light, balloon and confetti filled shows, not to mention the dancing “furries”.
The Flaming Lips will be touring the UK in January.
