ASIAN DUB FOUNDATION – 1000 Mirrors

Asian Dub Foundation release a new single entitled '1000 Mirrors' on April 21st through Virgin/Labels. This is the second track to be taken from 'Enemy of the Enemy' album that was released in February 2003.

This dub drenched single features guest vocals by Sinead O'Connor and was produced and mixed by legendary producer Adrian Sherwood. Available on cd/10″ single and features mixes by ILS, a London breakbeat collective called 'Visionary Underground' and also a remix by the band themselves.

The song is about one of the last great taboos, domestic violence, especially in the Asian community. British justice has historically been lenient towards male perpetrators but extremely harsh on those women who have been forced to take extreme measures in order to escape abusive situations. One of these women is Zoorah Shah and this song is dedicated to her.

Asian Dub Foundation have just completed the UK leg of a European tour and will be announcing more UK dates shortly. They will be also playing The Royal Albert Hall on March 27th with The Doves. This is a charity concert for The Teenage Cancer Trust.
