Michelle Branch is set to release her second album, ‘Hotel Paper’, on July 7th via Maverick. ‘Hotel Paper’ is the follow-up to her well-received 2002 debut ‘The Spirit Room.’
‘Hotel Paper’ maintains the high level of songwriting that Michelle achieved with ‘The Spirit Room’ and adds extra depth and sophistication to produce a mesmerising and infectious showcase of Michelle’s talent as both a singer and songwriter.
Still only 19 years old, Michelle has experienced so much, from performing on Buffy The Vampire Slayer, having ‘Everywhere’ featured in American Pie 2 and playing basketball with Robbie Williams! Michelle Branch’s debut single ‘Everywhere’ was an international hit and provided her with her first UK Top 20 single. The debut album ‘The Spirit Room’ won widespread praise including a 4* Q review and went on to sell in excess of a million copies in the US alone. She also sang on Santana’s massive worldwide hit ‘Game Of Love.’
Working with producer John Shanks (BB Mak) and mixer Chris Lord-Alge (Jewel, Faith Hill), highlights of ‘Hotel Paper’ include the rocky first single ‘Are You Happy Now’ (out June 23rd), the future-hit ‘Love Me Like That’ (featuring a guest appearance by Sheryl Crow) and the accomplished pop of ‘Breathe.
