The fission currents of ohm are forming and the release date of their debut 7-inch single “If this Is a High” (distributed by Zenith Media through Universal) – 'has been set – April 1st – mid tour.
The track is taken from their forthcoming debut album, which the band is recording with Andy Green (Soulwax, Alpine Star's) and Merv de Peyer (Primal Scream, Electronic) at the Townhouse studios in London.
Billed as the next Bowie, Ohm combine indie lyrical mastery with the licks and tricks of a dance act. “Brilliantly done” David Sinclair (The Times), “One of the most impressive live performances I've ever seen” (Sean Cooney, former head of promotions, Universal Records).
Can you define the sound of ohm? Think Depeche Mode, Muse and Primal Scream, hear David Bowie and you know what is about. The band takes our everyday surroundings and makes us rock and shiver at the same time, their music is a window on the modern world – It's not often you get to hear something that genuinely sounds fresh and interesting.
The single “If this is a high” “begins with moody vocals and a piercing synth sound, resolves into an intense chorus with a enacing bass and tormented guitars and ends with a pulsating fade out effect.” (Sarah, South Hampton Echo)
Mark – sings vocals and is the creative genius behind the songs – distilling blissed out melodies, piercing guitar effects and electronic noises into an intoxicating elixir

Adam – drummer, raconteur and the people's percussionist, feels the way with his sticks like a blind man in a brothel
