The Koreans Mass Immigration

Nah not really – they are just coming to Liverpool for a gig….the band that is. The newest and first signing to the underground pop/rock/indie web-zine Drowned In Sound's new label are coming to Liverpool to dual out a battle with Liverpool based promotions company Glasswerk.co.uk.

Recent Korean's movement has included a tour supporting The Androids followed by there own headline tour promoting their debut general release 'Machine Code'. Early reviews say this.
“Damn Catchy Tune……Definitely something going on in Camberwell” – The Fly
“Minimal verses and husky vocals from duo Ollie and Brent are matched with guitar heavy choruses and the results are splendidly off kilter. A code worth deciphering.” – Rocksound

So now in the damp and turgid airs of Liverpool, two webzines are going to fight it out. With The Koreans headlining in one corner and three of Glasswerk's local best in the other corner including Guild of Defiants (pop rock with a twist), The Mirrors (psychedelic wools) and Prime Audio (intense angst), the promoter shouts “Lets get it ON!”

You can see this spectacle of music swordsmanship at The Masque, Seel St, Liverpool. Doors are 8.30pm and it is a whoppingly outrageous £4/£5 with flyer.
