Three Years of Drowning in Sound

Critics Suck!
All London gig promoters are crap!
And various other ranty stuff could easily have just been spouted and left like that, but the folks at Drowned in Sound over the past three years have got off their collective arses, written about new music (including one of The Darkness' first live reviews), promoted showcases and tours. Plus, recently launched a free printed magazine (distributed throughout the Chain With No Name) and a record label (released the debut single by The Koreans).

Regular DiS nights in London include the last tuesday of the month co-promotion with Club Fandango (Fierce Panda) where so far this year DiS've put on debut shows for current buzz bands Razorlight and The Ludes, plus key showcases for The Boxer Rebellion, Youth Movie Soundtrack Strategies and thisGIRL. Drowned in Sound also promote the first monday of the month at The Underworld in association with Riverman, including shows from Reuben, Span, Kinesis and Colour of Fire. Plus DiS do lots of shows down at the Windmill in Brixton and one-offs all over London. October see’s the launch of our new monthly night at the Spitz.

Over the course of the first week of October, Drowned in Sound celebrates three years, a site relaunch and various other fun and games. The party week of shows, featuring various guest djs are:
