Bruins bar proudly supports unsigned ambitious artists of the north-west, and beyond!
When we don’t have live music we have the best indie, rock and alternative playlist in Fallowfield.
Basically, we love our music at bruins, and the more punters we can get who agree with us, the better.
To top it all off we serve the finest beers in the area. Ranging from quality cask ales to imported fruit beers, and the rockingest cocktails.
Tues 7 Oct – Keith Darbyshire
Keith Darbyshire of seminal 1970s/80s Factory Records band 'Crispy Ambulance' goes unplugged at bruins. With support from Martin and Andy.
Sun 12 Oct – Sol Latino Night

Tues 14 Oct – Open Mic Night
A chance to let your talent shine! Or just come along to watch and listen. See the stars of tomorrow today, as the young wannabes take to the stage and perform. If you’re the next big thing bring your instrument and talent and show us what you can do. (This regular fortnightly event will now be weekly – every Tuesday night – until Christmas).
Thurs 23 Oct – Clinton Avenue
Up and coming indie rock band Clinton Avenue promote the forthcoming release of their debut single “Movie Star”. A tight four piece, with excellent guitar riffs, and one of the most powerful lead voices in the indie Britpop & rock scene today.
Sun 26 Oct – UFC Showcase
Original acoustic blues and folk (that gets a little bit jazzy in places) provided by Urban Folk Collective, who also present an array of unsigned talent in this local showcase of bands.
Thurs 30 Oct – Halloween with Stephen Sarson & Nuclear Nick Ainsworth
Two of bruins' favourite entertainers take to the stage to bring you a camped-up, gothic gala. Truly not a night to be missed. For those of you yet to encounter the delights of this dynamic duo, then read on:
NUCLEAR NICK AINSWORTH – Hailing from the badlands of Chorley, Nuclear Nick is a songwriter who draws comparison to Beat Happening, Evan Dando, Paul Westerberg and the anti folk movement of New York. Heavily influenced by Tom Morgan of Smudge fame, Nick delivers his comical insights on life, love, hate and his big blue vein. Raw but not overly energetic! A must see!
STEPHEN SARSON – The Pink Fluffy Cloud Machine ex-frontman goes solo for one night only (while he sorts out his new band!) and plays his original new wave, Britpop and punk songs, with a slight Smiths feel.
