The Bands – Expect a veritable war of the roses as Manchesters The Fremen battle it out With Crazy Scouse misfits The Maybes ?
The Fremen are a charasmatic and dynamite packed 5-piece,serving bulging eyed garage rock straight out of south central Manchester. With one hand clutching a battered copy of Psych Compilation Nuggets the other is beating the retro-modern sound of The Hives/Jet/ Kings of Leon back out of the UK. Armed to the teeth with every classic rock and roll tool in the book, The Fremen recently released the their debut single “Twisted Up” on Thinline Records (former home to The Stone Roses & Buzzcocks). Following a handful of rapturously received, sold out and energy packed gigs at The Blowout Club in Manchester. This will be their debut performance in Liverpool.
The Maybes ? Crazy,Mad Beautiful….Currently doing the rounds on the Liverpool scene it appears only a matter of time before these crazy Scouse misfits, who have already been backed by Ian McCulloch make the big time. A thunderous rythym section, blistering guitars and fantastic 4-part harmonies. Their scallydelic sound has been electrifying anyone and everyone thats caught their recent gigs.
