“Move over and let us in” is the clear statement from website promoters link as they launch their London presence with a bang. The new London site london.glasswerk.co.uk (or follow the links from the link main page) is open for your viewing pleasure from December the 1st and will contain as ever the usual assortment of band profile pages, free mp3s, streams, gig listings, reviews and local music news. To launch this auspicious occasion there is a launch party upstairs @ the Garage on the 3rd December.
The line up on December the 3rd is the buzz band of the moment 28 Costumes, Leeds rawk FULC, Glasswerk’s own Cadium and Londoners JFK. Normally a TBA gig, Glasswerk is taking over for the night and are grateful to TBA for the opportunity to launch the newest addition of the Glasswerk family.
28 Costumes are newly signed to Spank Records (The Relatives, B-movie Heroes, Inner City Sumo Compilation) and are releasing their debut single/ep on the 29th November. After a whirl wind year the unprecedented rise of the ‘cozzies’ goes from strength to strength. Expect electrically fast riot rock with succulent twists and breaks.
Cadium have been raising their profile for the last year with toilet tours around the UK. Hard as nails rock with screamcore sensibilities and butterfly melodies. These cheeky chappies from some backwater by Liverpool will bring a smile to your face and melt your inhabitations away.
Site Editor Mat Ong says,
“We were going to wait and launch our London site last after setting up local websites and gig nights all around the UK first so as to take the whole country to London with us, but after we met and got in contact with Alex Machorton (the new London Editor) we decided we couldn’t wait. So far we have done a good job of promoting music around the country without really touching London but its getting to the stage now were we have to have a higher presence down here in order to make a bigger impact. Go to the gig on the 3rd – its going to be rocking.”
