Blowout Blowing Up Liverpool

Manchester clubnight “Blowout” is relocating to Liverpool once again this month to present four of the hottest acts in the North West. They will be aided and abetted by resident Djs and special guest
Edgar Summyertyme of The Stairs and Jones's fame.

Bad Man Wagon – Bad Man Wagon are one of the ultimate party bands to have emerged from Manchester. Initially formed when Spencer Birtwistle,ex-THE FALL,approached Cressa, ex-STONE ROSES affiliate, to work on a new style musical project three parts dub to two parts punk rock. Since recruiting members from other Manchester luminaries such as Stella Grundy of Intastella fame, the band have released several singles and an album “A Day Late and a Dollar Down”

With the original baggy Vibesmaster Cressa setting the scene and such a wealth of talent in the band its impossible not to go for their heady brand of Lee Scratch meets Black Grape

The Moonies –
This is a very different band. Called The Moonies because of an obsession with The Who's drummer, Keith Moon (they believe he has helped The Moonies along their way), The band claim that destiny is taking them on a journey to the top. Having just toured with punk legends The Buzzcocks and at an average age of just 21 they could well be right. They have recently been in the studio with The Strokes legendary producer,
Gordon Raphael, who saw them at The Buzzcocks shows and wanted to capture the live energy of the band. Four tracks were recorded in half a day and are set to be released as an EP this year.

Vaudevilles – Formerly Hayley's Cake, this bunch of criminally talented fellas (and peach of a lead singer!) are a loaded seven piece who put on a ballsey show of dirty ragtime/punk that shakes you ragged then dusts you down and lights you a cigarette….

LazyBones – Singer songwriter Mike Wilson has a healthy obssession with Johns Children, Syd Barrett and prime time Bowie. This Class A psychedelic pedigree is clearly evident in Lazybones' music. New single 'Sunrise' mixes off the wall lyrics with lyseric guitar. accompanied by a smattering of moogs, synths and samples and you get the idea. Fiercely unique.
