SIMPLE KID KEEP ON TRUCKING see their new video

2 February 2004 sees the release of “TRUCK ON” from Simple Kid, one of the year’s most hotly-tipped artists.

The single is to be released on 2M Recordings following a series of themed shows in London that gained Simple Kid rave-reviews during the end of January. The track was previously released in 2002 on the Fierce Panda label whereupon it achieved coveted status as a daytime Radio One ‘Record of the Week’.

This brand new version of “TRUCK ON” will be released on CD-Single (2M 007CD), DVD-Single (2M007DVD) and limited-edition blue-vinyl 7” (2M007S) formats, all of which feature exclusive B-sides.

Next week (w/b 2/2/04) Simple Kid will be conducting in-store signings and interviews in the following FOPP stores: Monday 2/2/04 in Nottingham, Tuesday 3/2/04 in Bristol and Friday 6/2/04 in Glasgow.

The single is already receiving wide spread acclaim from the music press. This week’s (18/01/04) Guide from the Guardian selects “TRUCK ON” as its track of the week declaring its catchiness as “…not so much infectious as viral”. NME too praises ‘the splendid stoned shuffle that is Truck On” in its single reviews section while music industry news site Record of the Day ( link ) also gives the nod to the “value-packed” single.
