Glasswerk has been introduced to South Scene… a music website dedicated to live events on the South Coast. This will be particularly useful to Glasswerkers who are considering gig-swaps with bands from far afield, and also provides great southern contacts for those bands who are considering a national tour. Below is everything you need to know about southscene.net

News: All the latest NEWS supplied by you. Basically we cut and paste your news emails and put them on the site for all to see. All news can be sent on emails, no additional files are needed unless you are able to supply a JPEG (preferably square) to accompany the news article.The artist remains in control of their news.

Send in your NEWS and it will go on the website, don’t send it in and it won’t. ALL emails are checked regularly, but if it is news for an event within a few days it may not go on the site in time. Please allow a week for all news items. Last minute news can always be posted on the message board.

We accept and publish all local music related news across the South. While we have a freedom of speech policy we will however not accept unnecessary abuse or prejudice of any kind, so if your band is called Ku Klux Klan we don’t want to know you!

Live Shows:

The Rhino: Every month, SouthSCENE.net and the Sibling Rivalry DJs host our alternative night in the downstairs bar at the Rhino Club as special guests of the resident DJ upstairs DJ Hammy with SUPERSONIC. Every first Wednesday of each month we invite two or more top local bands from the surrounding areas to play in between the DJs. Guest DJs are also welcome: mail

The Joiners: In addition to our monthly showcase nights at The Rhino, we are also putting on our quarterly SouthSCENE Presents… at the Joiners Arms in Southampton.

The VENUE: Sit back; chill out in the ambiance of Town Quay's waterfront view, listening to Southampton's finest singer songwriters & acoustic performers… If you're a solo performer, duo or even in a band that can easily switch to perform acoustically then we can give you a spot to showcase your talents at the Venue, Town Quay, Southampton.For further information or to book yourself onto a night contact

All the latest gigs by the local bands, DJs, etc. This section is updated regularly. ALL gig dates must be sent in by YOU. Try and make it as clear as possible which gig dates are new and which have been mentioned before in your band eletters. It makes it easier for us and your fans to know when you are playing.
