Benefit Gig for Iran

SOUTH WALES FREAK SHOW – AN EMERGENCY BENEFIT FOR THE VICTIMS OF THE IRAN EARTHQUAKE

As a direct response to the horrifying natural disaster at Bam in Iran, the underground music scene of South Wales has joined forces in an attempt to raise money for people suffering incredible hardships in the region.

Many individuals have come together to organise an emergency all-day music event in Cardiff. The South Wales Freak Show will take place on Sunday February 8th 2004 at Clwb Ifor Bach (Womanby Street) in the city centre. It will include live performances from a whole host of South Wales bands on one floor, and DJ's on another, of many different underground musical styles. T

The top floor will include performances by; No Choice, Douglas, Four Letter Word, The Take, Shaped By Fate, Bedford Falls, Viva Knievils, Da Capo, Of Noble Blood, As It Were, Foregone Conclusion, A Kid Called Power and This Boy's Life.

Downstairs will feature performances by DJ Jaffa, Paul B, Kosmik Boy, Pitch Black And Disturbance and more. No performers will receive any kind of expenses, and all will be paying the same admission fee as everyone else of £5.

There will be a raffle draw upstairs, halfway through the day's events at 6.00pm, where a huge amount of CD's, t-shirts, skateboard gear, and other related ephemera will be given out as prizes, as well as other money-raising throughout the day, and all proceeds from the day's events will go to the UNICEF Iran Earthquake Appeal. There yer go, the raffle alone is actually pretty immense now if loads of punk/hardcore gubbins and skate stuff is up your alley.
