The Honky Tonk night has moved to the new purpose built Carling Academy 2 venue (Hothan St, L/pool). The venue is commonly known as the best of its size in the country, with over £2 million being spent renovating the old L2 to provide it with sound and production equipment that is second to none.

Headling the event is- 'DOGS DIE IN HOT CARS'- They are one of the hottest tipped bands currently shaking up the UK music scene. Unique sounding from Glasgow, their sound is described as a cross-section between Dexy's Midnight Runners, The Clash and Depeche Mode. Their first single has just been playlisted by Radio 1 and is expected to take the charts by storm in the coming months. They are playing Honky Tonk as part of there headline tour.
Plus, there'll be 'RHOMBUS OF DOOM'- This psychedelic act have recently supported The Coral on their UK Tour and are pushing the Liverpool music scene forward with their Rockabilly/Blues sound.
'THE JACKALS'- Impressive up and coming Liverpool band with great melodies and a fantastic live sound, makes up an eclectic line up.
'ODEGA'- (Resident band), plus Honky Tonk DJ's.
