Steve Lamacq's Punk Rock Karaoke night

If Upstairs at the Garage needed any endorsement as a great venue for London Glasswerk gigs, then surely Steve Lamacq is it.

Radio 1 DJ Steve Lamacq presents:

“Punk Rock Karaoke Night”

Saturday 3rd April 2004 (and every 1st saturday of the month!)

PUNK ROCK Karaoke is London's first regular Punk Rock Karaoke night…with a LIVE BAND.

This is your chance to sing on stage with a group of top quality seditionaries – hand-picked from the under the mixing desk of a north London rehearsal room.

Our set list includes songs by The Clash, Iggy Pop, The Jam, The Specials, Sex Pistols, Buzzcocks, Blondie and erm, The Vapors.
As well as a list of 20-something punk rock classics there's also a special menu of up to date anthems given the punk rock treatment.
Be Rotten. Sing Strummer. Recite Shelley. Or alternatively just come along and drink beer. They'll be two live sets and DJs afterwards spinning punk and indie tuneage till late.

“PRK offers real music fans the chance get on stage with a live band and sing the all-time greatest punk rock songs. It's what I imagine a swinging party to be like.” The Guardian
