Blowout And Bobby Conn

The sell out Chorlton club night Blowout presents the buzz act of the moment that has had the London mafia creaming themselves in excitment. Bobby Conn is coming to Blowout with a slight change in venue – its at the Star and Garter.

Over the past few years Bobby Conn has declared himself the anti-christ, amputated one of his fingers, has not been watching any MTV, has been described as 'Jimi Hendrix versus Paul McCartney'
and has been releasing albums with the world's bestest record
label 'Thrill Jockey'.

He's in a league of his own when it comes to performing live, don't miss this chance to see him going it alone with reditions of tracks from his albums The Golden Age and The Homeland in the cosy
confines of the Star and Garter.

Support comes from Megarider who are named after every Mancunian including Lemn Sissay's favourite bus pass, Megarider are the brainchild of performance artist Heather Pasero and french indie pop god Denis Pasero. Megarider write and record from their home studio in Manchester. Their first release was on last years Twisted Nerve jukebox 45's series. They released their debut single at the tail end of 2003 “Voiture / Its alright”.

22nd April @ The Star and Garter.
