Fleadh Festival – latest news

The Fleadh, held on 20th June 2004 in Finsbury Park, London have confirmed several more acts to appear on both the Fleadh and Borderline stages. They will join headliner Bob Dylan, (playing his only Uk festival appearance), Counting Crows, Christy Moore, John Prine, Delays and many more at London's longest running festival. Several more acts are yet to be added to the bill.

The Charlatans are a welcome addition to the bill of the 14th Fleadh. Confirmed festival favourites, the band release their eighth album in May 'Up At The Lake' and will no doubt be playing tracks taken from this alongside the countless hits they've racked up over the last 15 years. Vocalist Tim Burgess is a well known huge Dylan fan, which surely helped to secure their appearance on this amazing bill.

The big nosed bard from Barking, Billy Bragg joins the main stage this year for an almost inevitable triumphant performance. Bragg released a great compilation album last year 'Must I Paint A Picture – The Essential Billy Bragg' featuring highlights of his 25 plus years musical history. Described in the past as a 'one man Clash' expect incredible folk/rock/punk music matched with scathing yet witty lyrics from an inimitable artist.
