Working Holiday – 12 gigs in 6 days

The Holiday Plan zip round the country to play 12 gigs in just 6 days to help promote the release of their double A-side debut single ‘Stories’/’Sunshine’ out on June 7th through Island Records.

The London quartet are whizzing round the country in a clapped out van equipped with their own PA and stopping in 12 different towns to play 12 different independent record stores in only 6 days…And in true post-hardcore spirit all gigs will be free to get in.

Since the release of their debut self-titled EP in October 2003 The Holiday Plan have, without a doubt, developed into one of Britain’s most exciting new bands. They’ve toured relentlessly, providing support for the likes of Thrice, Brand New, and Billy Talent as well as embarking on their first headline tour and finding time to start work on their debut album. Their second release ‘The Green Lights EP’ gained regular Radio 1 support from Zane Lowe and lead track “Wasting Time” made the Xfm and MTV2 playlists. In March the band played a now infamous show at this year’s SXSW festival where a member of the security was stabbed at the end of their set! (It wasn’t fatal). The band were also on “Gonzo goes to SXSW” for MTV2 as part of their Brand Spankin New week.

‘Stories’/’Sunshine’ is the first release from their debut album, out in the Autumn; an album they recorded in New Jersey with famed producer Sal Villanueva (Thursday, Taking Back Sunday).

The Holiday Plan are also performing on Saturday 5th June at this year’s Download Festival on the Barfly Stage alongside the likes of Young Heart Attack & Ikara Colt.
