Po-etry in motion

Prince PO (supported by Beans) – Jazz Cafe London, June 22nd

After tearing up UK venues earlier this year Prince Po makes a return visit for a highly anticipated headline show. Prince Po graced stages up and down the country back in April alongside Lex Records tour-buddies Danger Mouse, Jemini, Prince Paul, Sage Francis and Tes.

In his second ever London show, and first UK headline slot, he's more than ably supported by Beans(groundbreaking emcee formerly of Anti-Pop Consortium) in what's destined to be a great display of talent courtesy of two of New York's most skilful hip-hop artists.

Lyrical heavyweight Prince Po (aka Prince Poetry) is already known to many for his work with Pharoahe Monch as one half of mythical early nineties hip-hop duo Organized Konfusion. This year sees his return to the fray with solo single and album releases, and live dates.

The Prince Po album – 'The Slickness' – is released on 5th July and combines a host of quality collaborators including – Danger Mouse (as executive producer), Madlib, Jel, Jemini, J-Zone, Raekwon, Richard X and MF Doom. The Richard X produced 'Hold Dat' single is out now, 'Social Distortion', featuring MF Doom and produced by Danger Mouse, is available as a limited edition 7' only release.

Prince Po is also confirmed to play at Sonar Festival in Barcelona and there are plans for more UK and European live shows and a further single release to follow 'The Slickness' album.
