Fat Northerners at ITC

After a busy year for Fat Northerner Records’ eclectic roster of bands and artists, they return to Manchester for this year’s urban-Glastonbury, In The City, with another exciting event celebrating the best in Manchester music, Fat Northerner Wakes…

The Fat Northerner Wakes event will be held on Sunday 19th September (7-1am) at The Roadhouse and will, in true Fat Northerner style, play host to a fat night of northern music from the likes of Denise Johnson (Primal Scream), showcasing her solo work; Earl, Manchester’s electro-punk 80’s vandals; Clint Boon (Inspiral Carpets), providing tunes all night in a Boon Army style; Slims, turning up those decibels with the dirtiest of Mancunian rock; Evenhand, a dynamic five-piece mixing soul, hip-hop and modern breaks; plus special guests and live visuals.

So, you want to hear the music first?

Alongside over five hundred free promo CDs distributed across Manchester in bars and shops, featuring all the bands performing on the night and some of the label’s dance acts, tracks will be available for download on Manchester’s new digital music portal, Vinyl Addicts (link). Label tracks are now available to download digitally for 79p each!

Tickets are available for £2.50 (in advance) from Piccadilly Ticketline (0161 832 1111), link, and link.
