Boss tones of Avoid One Thing and Not Katies

Bostons, Avoid One Thing are touring to promote the release of their superb second album, Chopstick Bridge.

The bands bassist and front man, Joe Gittleman will be familiar to many punk and ska fans as he was a member of multi-platinum selling, ska giants, THE MIGHTY MIGHTY BOSSTONES.

Indeed, many of Avoid One Things songs were written during breaks in the Bosstones hectic touring schedule.

They have toured extensively over the past two years, including slots on the famous Vans Warped tour, alongside punk giants such as The Alkaline Trio and The Dropkick Murphys.

The bands style of fast paced punk rock has received comparisons with the likes of The Replacements and Husker Du.

Main support on the night comes from highly rated UK band, Not Katies. A favourite on the UK live scene, Not Katies have played support slots with the likes of Tsunami Bomb, Strung Out, Something Corporate and Good Charlotte and are signed to Deck Cheese records.

Hot prospects and recent signings to Lockjaw, Second Monday are also on the bill. At just 16 years old the band are far wiser than year suggest and have been likened to At the Drive In and Thursday.
